Crab Snare and Bait Cage

High quality, hand crafted crab snare and bait cage, 3-1/2” long x 1-1/2” wide x 1” high. See below for a detailed description of the unit construction.
• 16 gage, 1/2”x1/2” galvanized steel wire mesh bait cage. 16 gage is 40% thicker than 19 gage, making it more durable and super rigid. 1/2”x1/2” mesh spacing will keep bait longer in the cage. The cage is not plastic coated as the coating will crack from repeated crab claw attacks, and water will seep under the coating, and rust. Recommend rinsing our cage with clean water after each outing, and towel dry.The cage is touched up with a gray cold galvanizing compound spray paint after assembly.
• Stainless steel closure hook and heavyweight butyl rubber closure strap.
• #4 Stainless steel duolock snap for attaching sinker (not included), which allows the user to add/change weight according to tidal conditions.
• 6, ~4” diameter, 130# monofilament loop snares.
• 18” long, 130# mono leader with stainless steel duolock snap. Just attach your main line with a snap & swivel to this leader.
• Total weight with snares: 2 oz. (55 g).
