I am friends with some of the guys in the band and I own the largest collection of Crue memorabilia in the world. I obtained a number of items from Rich Fisher. Mr. Fisher was the band's manager during the 1980s.....including the Shout At The Devil and Theatre Of Pain era. I am listing some very unique and 1 of a kind Crue items.
This slide is approximately 2 inches x 1.75 inches. This photo was taken in May 1983 right before the ultra popular Shout At The Devil album was released and there are literally millions of photos of the band from this shoot. The pictures of the band in these photos are found in millions of books, magazines, posters, t-shirts, and most importantly the actual Shout At The Devil album. There are 1000s of posters of Nikki Sixx in this pose that come to mind. This may very well be the most famous Motley Crue photo ever taken! And this is the only original in existence! T
his is the famous shot of Nikki inside of the Shout At The Devil album!
The 1 side of the slide is stamped THIS SIDE TOWARD SCREEN. The other side is stamped PAKON US PAT 3,341960 MADE IN USA. I think that has to do with the actual white sleeve that the slide is in. It is in a more solid and rigid slide holder than many of the others, possibly because they knew at the time it was "the shot". This is the actual original slide from the Shout At The Devil photo shoot! No others exist! I have talked to Nikki Sixx about these. He was shocked to hear that I found them. This is a very high quality item that is museum or Hard Rock Cafe quality. It's priceless. Once again this is for the slide only. Condition of the photo slide: Excellent to near mint slide holder. Slide film looks very good.
