This is a very rare, officially-licensed commemorative poster for Mötley Crüe at the Whiskey A Go-Go on September 9th, 1981. Print is autographed by artist Justin Hampton and measures 18” x 24”. “Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Mick Mars had just formed in January of that year and only added their singer, Vince Neil, to the roster 5 months previously to the date of this gig. They recorded their debut album ‘Too Fast for Love’ the following month and it was released in November marking their meteoric launch to stardom. This poster is a celebration of the down and dirty, Garage- Metal sounding origin of the band. They were young, raw and full of Rock N’ Roll dreams. They would go on to become one of the biggest names of the 1980’s LA scene and sell over 100 million records worldwide. The release of the 2019 band biography movie ‘The Dirt’ has further cemented their legacy and place in the annals of Rock history.”
